A couple of days ago I received this snail mail spam from the Alliance Defense Fund, asking me to help stop the ACLU lawsuit trying to ban the public display of the 10 Commandments.
Complete with a pre-stamped envelope, the message invites me to:
- send a message of concern to government officials battling the ACLU,
- request “The Truth about the Ten Commandments in American Law” booklet,
- make a tax-deductible contribution to the cause.
IMHO, there’s something seriously wrong with each of these points:
- Government officials battling the ACLU? Of all people, the government officials should be the ones battling for the ban. Separation of church and government stuff.
- Then, again, the 10C in american law? Even if there is a connection, you’d better make sure it’s not the christian Talibans making the law.
- Tax-deductible? For god’s sake!
Anyway, these weird things are not the weird thing. The funny part is that I don’t live in the USA, I am a Romanian living in France, of all places.
Rest assured, ADF people, that shall not stop me for contributing to the cause. I filled the contribution coupon with my donation of $0. I also requested the booklet, even though it’s freely available on the web site as a PDF. Remember, the ADF pays for postage. Then I included my message of support: May ADF rot in HELL. Rock on, ACLU! and posted using the pre-stamped envelope.
I invite everyone to do the same, especially people overseas. Let’s put those donations to good use.

I found your site while doing research for a speech against the recently proposed bill to post the 10 Commandment in the Chamber of Commerce and House of Representatives. What can I say except for keep on rocking on. I wish I lived international to do the same …and, well because I wouldn’t be in this messed up of a government at the moment.
Just wanted to say thank you for what you did.
