Seth Godin insists on keeping the ChangeThis manifestos in PDF. He says: [...] we use PDFs because they’re a lot more booklike. They read better. They stick together when you forward them. They print better. Book like? Read better? WTH? How can anyone prefer PDF’s to HTML? The ChangeThis PDF’s don’t even have the reflow feature, which would have really improved things.

BTW, this is a one year old story, but it just got better…

I printed today one of the latest manifestos with Tiger Preview. There’s an over-imposed box telling me to “GO AHEAD AND PRINT THIS”, and what a nice product Adobe Reader is. The box is supposed to go away when you print, only it doesn’t. It only appears when you print, actually. Of course, it works much better if I would use Adobe Reader, which I don’t. I wonder if the PDF’s are broken on purpose…

All this, just to read plain text. Stupid PDF. At least it’s not Flash yet.
