Activity indicator for Tiger Mail

April 25th, 2006 · 3 Comments · EN, Geeky

Dear LazyWeb,

is there any way to have an activity indicator (aka status bar) in Apple Mail?

The pre-Tiger Mail application had a real, full-size status bar that showed all sorts of useful information. I want it back!

Some areas that can be used to display the current activity:

- the short “fake” status bar under the mailboxes sidebar
- added text in the application title bar
- a toolbar throbber
- elsewhere?

Window > Activity Viewer in the menus, or Command-0, will bring up the activity vewier in Tiger Mail.

    Sorry, that’s Command-0

I use Cmd-0 all the time, that’s when it gets frustrating and I start thinking about the above :-)
