So you get funky eating habits and the way they say OK when they mean dude, I don’t understand the words coming out of your mouth. That, I can handle, but a real culture shock came today. I just learned that in a certain neighborhood of Beijing, women offer their baby girls for sale to any passerby foreigner.

That is in Beijing, not the deep countryside. Mothers, giving away their own baby. To any foreigner.

Kinda puts off any desire to return to China.
