Sure, the iPhone is pretty and I would love to get one _now_. However, as much as I drool about its UI, compactness, design and features, I can’t help but be disappointed about its price. $5-600 is too much to for a glorified mobile phone. Add to that the costs of the overpriced Internet access via GSM, which in France is around one finger per ten minutes of use.
Oh well. Such is life when The Steve pwnz the industry and competition is made of a bunch of delusional Dilbertarians.
One thing that was missing at the keynote was a new PowerMac MacBook Pro 12″. I was honestly hoping for one, and was planning to get one in the coming months. There is still a chance, as Apple sometimes holds back important but secondary announcements to keep the spotlight on the main feature. We’ll see in the coming days.
And no new iLife? My 3yo iMac G4 just got some upgrades — new DVD drive, hard-drive and memory — and it feels fast enough again. It needs a new, irresistible version of iPhoto with just the right amount of eye-candy to get back to slo-mo fun.
I want Macworld to fix my Mac need.
PS: Hey, there is a new MacBook after all! It’s a tablet Mac, it’s called ModBook, it’s not made by Apple, it’s sexy and I want one it costs more than $2200.

I like it, and it’s fair priced.
Let’s hope its better than a Qtek. Oww, I think it is better.
