Every day at my new job used to start with a little depression…
It’s not the job itself. It’s the first time after a while that I enjoy my job so much. Its also the first time in a longer while that I actually like the products I work on and can recommend them to my friends. (Go get a steekr account, it’s 1GB of free storage and sharing for free. NOW!)
It’s wasn’t my colleagues, who are all cool and smell nice.
It’s not the offices either. They were roomy, had a decent cafeteria and I got my own office. A nice change after many years in open spaces.
It was the commute. At least an hour, twice a day. First a bus, then a refreshing 15 minutes walk on an industrial area, next to a highway and with no other walker on sight. I can live with the empty streets. After all, I live in the most boring suburb of the world. But seeing only storage areas, parking lots and factory buildings gets me down.
Starting today, I work again inside the most beautiful city of the world. The metro, the haussmannity, the cafés, the animation… it’s alive, and I love it.
It’s good to be back.

Not only do you have an office for yourself, you also have a desk, a quasi full time internet access, you also have a great presidential chair for which you had to fight ! Ooops, I was almost forgetting your sexy drawers case ! What a tasty flashy apple green…
Nice to have you on board. Enjoy the journey
