This is great news for all immigrants in France. He is the son of a Hungarian immigrant, has a Jewish mother and is a minority in more than one way.

Hum… I do not know who “us” refers to, but I have a diametrically opposed reading of this: I think this is going to be a really hard time for immigrants. Feel free to come and get a taste of our local police. You won’t be disappointed.
