Just so you know, the future of web apps is being built on Macs.

Nine out ten people here are using laptops have Macs. The other one out of ten are using a spare machine while the Mac is reloading its battery in the back of the room.

On the speakers and demos side, the default is Mac OS too, but there were a few exceptions. Like the guy who had us watch the Vista boot sequence during half his presentation only so he anti-virus updates during the other half. And there’s this Microsoft guy duing a demo, but I’m not really watching that.

Oh crap. My Mac is dying, applications stop responding and the beach ball is having a …ball. It’s the lookupd process hogging it. I guess I’ll have to restart now.

So much for the bright aqua-styled future of web apps…
